What’s new in Field-Map Version 21

• Rxiri laser rangefinder (versions XR1200A, XR3000C).

Pen mapping function

• Synchronized shift of a point in the line / at the point where the line crosses the coordinates, and all other unlocked line layers are changed (“Spider” function). In the settings, it is possible to select the layers that will be included in the spider.

Settings

• New option: define multiple layouts for hotkey switching between layers.
• New option: set in the settings that when opening the Field-Map project, the splash screen window does not stay on top.
• New option: set a custom color for underpainting the layer panel in the layer list on the map page.

Database Query Tool

• New option: disable header display when exporting to Excel.

Tools

• New function: Find points with hidden labels.

New mapping features

• New feature for mapping points/trees using GNSS and offset (distance + azimuth) by laser rangefinder. It is activated by the script function MapRemotePointUsingGnssAndOffset in the new event OnNewPointButtonDown.
• New feature for mapping points/trees using GNSS and offset (distance) by laser rangefinder. The azimuth is calculated from the second GNSS point. It is activated by the script function MapRemotePointUsingDoubleGnssAndOffset in the new event OnNewPointButtonDown.

Synchronization

• Export “views” to PostgreSQL.

WMS

• More resolution options when creating a catalog from WMS.

QR code reading

• Support for QR code reading by the computer’s internal camera. The function is activated by the script function ReadQRCode.

• Significant improvements, including many new features

Ordering of items in lookup list

• The order of lookup lists set for custom sorting can be changed by the user in the Data Collector. The option is in the “Activate lookup lists” function.

• Support of views and EPSG in PostgreSQL
• The Compact and repair database functions now also support FireBird database. This feature is available after starting Project Manager, with no project open.

• A new option to set RepreArea=0 for dead trees has been added. It is now possible to calculate RepreArea for dead trees when this option is disabled.
• The RepreArea filter has been changed to a combobox (and is remembered), with improved unit settings in statistical tasks.

ActivateLayers

• A new application, ActivateLayers, has been added to quickly activate/deactivate layers. This is useful when processing data in FM Inventory Analyst.

LoadProjectSettings

• A new application, LoadProjectSettings, has been added to take all settings from the sample project./li>

UpdateProject

• Settings are now preserved after project updates in UpdateProject.

Import2FieldMap

• In Import2FieldMap, if PlotID=””, the data is imported in the project with one plot without the need to specify the plot number in the source data.

FirebirdDesktop

• FirebirdDesktop now allows users to write comments to the query (example: /* comment */).

DatabaseQueryTool

• DatabaseQueryTool now supports saving and loading tasks from the server projects.
